Spring Holiday – Norfolk 2015

In May 2015 some 44 Club members and their ladies spent a week’s coach holiday based near Kings Lynn, Norfolk. There were excursions each day to places of interest. These included the Sandringham Estate, Castle Rising, Kings Lynn and Peckover House and Gardens. At Blickling Hall, which is thought to be the birth place of Anne Boleyn, the visit included a short play performed by the National Trust volunteers to mark the 70th anniversary of VE Day. The day in Norwich included a conducted tour of the Cathedral with plenty of time to explore the town. On the return journey to St. Albans, there were stops at Ely to view the Cathedral and visit the town and then on to Anglesey Abbey for lunch and a look at the splendid Jacobean styled house and gardens.
